Sunday 25th October – The Penguin Lessons (12)
£4.00
Films at Pittington
Argentina, 1976. Tom Michell, a jaded English teacher at an exclusive Buenos Aires boarding school, rescues an oil-soaked penguin from a Uruguayan beach and finds he cannot get rid of it. What begins as a nuisance becomes an unlikely friendship that changes him, his pupils and a country living through dark times. Steve Coogan is at his dry, understated best in this warm, funny and quietly moving true story. Based on Michell's memoir. Bring a tissue, and someone to share it with.
Sunday 25th October – doors open 6pm, film starts 6:30pm, end time 8:30pm approx. Café style seating – BYOB if desired.
